Documentation

Everything in these guides describes the app you get when you open it in a Chromium-based desktop browser. The app runs entirely on your machine: your datasets, tests and results live in your browser's storage unless you create an account and turn cloud sync on.

Core concepts

  • Dataset — imported historical candles (or ticks) for one instrument and base timeframe. Datasets stay local and can be reused by many tests.
  • Test — one manual replay session: a dataset, a start point, a starting balance, spread and prop-firm rules. Every click you make during the replay is journaled.
  • Strategy — a block-built rule set that the same replay engine executes automatically, bar by bar, with no chart in the loop.
  • Portfolio test — several instruments replayed on one clock against one shared account.

Where the numbers come from

Statistics are computed from the fills your actions produce at the simulated prices of the replay, including spread. Results are simulation output on historical data, not investment advice and not a promise of future performance. Common questions are answered on the FAQ.

  1. The trader dashboardHow the MarketsReplay dashboard computes every number — R, $ and %, win rate, profit factor, drawdown, sessions, prop challenge results, branching — on your own device.
  2. Import dataHow to bring historical candles and ticks into MarketsReplay: supported sources, the validation and gap report, sizing, dataset versions and exports.
  3. Create & replay a testStart a manual replay in MarketsReplay: dataset, timeframe, start date, balance, spread and prop rules — then the replay controls, speeds, snapshots and finishing.
  4. Trading & the MT5 terminalHow orders, spread, SL/TP, partial closes, risk-based lot sizing, prop-firm rules and the MT5-style toolbox work during a MarketsReplay replay.
  5. Strategy builderThe block-based strategy builder, headless backtest runs and the parameter optimizer in MarketsReplay — including what the sweep does and does not prove.
  6. Multi-symbol portfoliosMulti-symbol replay in MarketsReplay: one account across EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, EURGBP, gold and silver, with shared cash, exposure caps and USD account valuation.
  7. Accounts & syncHow MarketsReplay accounts work: what syncing copies (never candles), the first-sync question, conflicts you resolve yourself, the three-device session cap, offline behaviour and deletion.
  8. Billing & trialsPlans and billing in MarketsReplay: a free 4-day trial, plans (Basic, Pro and Premium) bought from an account balance topped up with USDT on TRC-20 or BEP-20, no auto-renew, and what happens when a plan ends.
  9. Data & storageWhere MarketsReplay keeps things: your browser's IndexedDB, the cloud data bucket, sync records, autosave, backups and how to move or erase data.
  10. TroubleshootingKnown limits and fixes in MarketsReplay: browser support and Safari gaps, screen size, import failures, storage quota, sync and payment states, and what is not a bug.
